Make your garden count.

  • Plants.

    • Diverse, rich plantings that move and inspire as well as provide year-round interest and colour

    • A focus on ‘edimentals’ - edible plants that are also ornamentally beautiful and long-flowering. This includes plants such as fruit trees or shrubs (cherry and quince), violets, vegetables (squash) that add real beauty whilst providing an enjoyable crop

    • The use of much-loved native wildflowers

    • Using the right plants in the right place e.g. provide screening from noise or a view, or to help mitigate boggy ground

    • No more wasted money or time on plants that aren’t suited to your garden. Our expert plant knowledge will provide you with a planting which thrives and becomes even more beautiful year on year

  • Wildlife.

Gardens are biodiverse havens. We share the space with a wonderful collection of birds, mammals and invertebrates, so making it as friendly to them as it is to us is one of our missions. Perhaps someone in your family has a real love and passion for birds, or enjoys spotting bees or butterflies on a warm day? We can understand your particular interests and wildlife you would like to try to encourage in your garden and help to install the plants and habitats that they will need to thrive.

We have led successful campaigns in SE London to install hedgehog highways between gardens, and personally would love to see more of these lovely mammals in others gardens too! We have the tools and knowledge to install a highway in your garden, so do ask abouhis if you love tas much as we do!

  • Garden Elements.

We really care about the details. A garden is a creative intervention space. Every element that is placed within it has to have a reason and a purpose to be there. The main hardscaping elements such as fencing, water features, paths, furniture and sheds or outbuildings have to reflect the subtlety of their surrounding planting schemes and add beauty alongside function. This is an element of the design that we enjoy considering sensitively and aesthetically, and to match your personal style and taste. We will always suggest materials from sustainable sources.

Garden elements specifically aimed at wildlife include bee posts, insect hotels, log or habitat piles, bird or bat boxes, or sand for ground-nesting bees. We’ll work with you to find the right balance for you and your garden.

“Gardens engender a sense of fun, joy and wonder about the world around us. They encourage us to spend more time being active, and to take a moment to recharge through immersion in nature.”
